CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS FOR BETTER RELATIONSHIPS

Conflict is inevitable in our very demanding world where differences of opinion about people, ideas and processes can be very disruptive for individuals and organisations. Therefore, it is imperative for organisations to create and nurture a culture where individuals can have difficult conversations that help resolve issues and conflicts in an amicable and constructive manner. This will help teams function better across levels, departments, and geographies, leading to better productivity, and improved internal and external relationships.

“We believe that there can be dramatic improvements in a team’s performance if people in the teams learned and practiced the skills of having ‘difficult conversations’ at crucial moments when it really matters.”

CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS SKILLS PROGRAMME ELEMENTS

The Programme is designed with three core elements to provide an interactive learning experience, and not just that of workshop attendance.

“Emotionally charged teams can treat conflict as a threat, or they can treat conflict as an opportunity to grow. This insight plays a significant role in our Crucial Conversations programme, and helps participants move from a negative win-lose mindset to a positive win-win mindset.”

PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIALS

Mediation Mantras has conducted several workshops around the theme of Crucial Conversations for Better Relationships.
Each workshop was customised for the participants, the organisation, and their nature of work.

In the past one year, over 175 individuals have participated in workshops that have been customised to focus on “How to have difficult conversations”, “Masterclass in Conflict Management: How to Have Crucial Conversations”, “How to Communicate in Difficult Situations”, and “Crucial Conversations for Better Relationships”.

Mediation Mantras has conducted these sessions for a group of twenty Ananta Aspen Fellows, nurses and counsellors at CanSupport, a group of women leaders at Vital Voices, the leadership of an educational institution, senior managers at an Indian MNC, and for commanders of an Indian paramilitary force.

"This workshop gave me opportunity to change the approach in tackling difficult situations. It ignited consciousness that was buried and opened up the scientific temper in me, to tackle difficult situations in a conscious and scientific approach. This kind of workshop should be conducted among all ranks in the force and also among family members.”

Assistant Commandant, Paramilitary Force

“What I liked most was the self-realisation areas – the responses and areas that I myself need to work on. Would love to have follow up sessions.”

Healthcare Professional, Indian NGO

“It was a very interactive session. Spelt out the concepts clearly. Session having connect, real life examples shared by mentors - that gave actual usage of tactics for us in real world.”
